Melchester Castle

Originally built in the 12th century for King Henry I, this impressive Norman castle stands majestically on a hill overlooking Melchester's harbour. Don't miss the amazing collection of swords and other historic weaponry in the Armoury. Regular events include historical re-enactments in the castle grounds and spooky ghost tours on summer nights.
