Portway Lighthouse

Built in 1750, Melchester's Portway Lighthouse has recently been fully renovated with a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, providing a state-of-the-art visitor centre, gift shop and café. Climb the tower for breathtaking views and learn about the history of the lighthouse through interactive displays, exhibits and first-hand accounts by the men who manned this vital aid to navigation for over two centuries.
